Poppy pinning is the act of distributing and helping people wear the Remembrance poppy during the annual Poppy Campaign. Volunteers visit businesses, community events, shopping centres and public locations to offer poppies and collect donations in support of Canada's Veterans and their families.
It's also a chance to speak with the public about the importance of Remembrance and the sacrifices made by those who served our country.
A promise that we will remember
Wearing a poppy is a simple but meaningful way to honour the courage, service and sacrifice of Canadian Veterans and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces. It reminds us of the freedoms we enjoy today, and the cost at which they were secured.
Lest We Forget.
